About Us - The Simply Impressions Story
ABOUT
I believe thoughtful design has the ability to shape how we experience the world.
Whether designing a room, creating a painting, or developing a site-specific architectural commission, my work begins with the same questions: How does light move through a space? How do materials relate to one another? How can geometry create calm, rhythm, and a sense of belonging?
Every project is an exploration of structure, proportion, and atmosphere—creating places and objects that feel quiet, timeless, and deeply personal.
I trained as an architect in London, where I developed a deep appreciation for the relationship between structure, material, and light.
Following my architectural studies, I worked with practices including Arup, Chapman Taylor, MJP Architects, Adjaye Associates, and Woods Bagot, contributing to projects ranging from civic buildings and commercial developments to high-end residential architecture. Those years established the discipline and design principles that continue to shape my work today.
After moving to the United States, I founded Simply Impressions—a practice that gradually evolved from commissioned artwork into a multidisciplinary design studio where architecture, interiors, and contemporary art inform one another.
Today my practice moves fluidly between contemporary artwork, residential interiors, and architectural commissions.
Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, I see them as different expressions of the same design philosophy. Whether selecting materials for a family kitchen, developing a painting, or integrating artwork into architecture, I approach every project through careful observation, iteration, and an enduring interest in the relationship between light, geometry, and space.
Whether through architecture, interiors, or art, I hope to create work that feels timeless, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the people who experience it.
