Material Relationship
Although compact in size, the room brings together contrasting materials in a considered composition.
Black framing, warm brass, textured tile, and geometric pattern create continuity, while a restrained palette allows each material to retain its character.
Design Inspiration
The design began with a chandelier that previously hung in the kitchen. Its antique-gold finish and ribbed glass established the material language for the room.
The ribbed glass was repeated in the vanity accessories, overhead lighting, and soap pump, creating a subtle visual connection between otherwise different elements.
The geometric floor tile became the next design reference, establishing the room's pattern and rhythm. Together, the tile and ribbed glass informed the selection of materials and the balance of black and gold finishes.

An original painting was created specifically for the space, drawing on the room's palette, materials, and geometric patterns to bring its visual language together.
